An experienced fundraising and board engagement leader, Laura A. Easton joined Menninger in 2012 to lead the continuation of The Menninger Clinic's capital campaign to build out the remainder of The Mental Health Epicenter campus and to support the research, training and treatment mission of Menninger.
Before joining Menninger, she consulted with The Clinic and other clients as owner and president of Easton Consulting, providing services in board development, committee engagement and strategic planning guidance in addition to fundraising and development management.
For a dozen years, Easton was promoted through a number of leadership positions at The Council on Alcohol and Drugs Houston. Easton successfully completed a capital campaign for The Council and advanced the organization's reputation and community support through special events, annual fundraising, major gifts and grants, brand identity and marketing.
She holds a master of social work degree from the University of Houston, with specialization in organizational development, capacity building and the use of self in the workplace, and a bachelor's degree in advertising from Southern Methodist University.
