Before joining Menninger in 2003, Poplack served as the senior program director, clinical director and director of spiritual development for The Women’s Home in Houston, a residential facility serving socially and economically disadvantaged women. In her social work career, she has worked and volunteered in a variety of clinical and academic settings, including as a clinical supervisor for social work graduate students and post-graduate trainees working toward advanced clinical licensure.
Poplack received her undergraduate degree from Syracuse University and earned her master’s degree in social work from the Graduate College of Social Work at Columbia University where she concentrated in both mental health and social service organizational management. She received post-graduate training in psychodynamic psychotherapy at the D.C. Institute of Mental Hygiene while serving as assistant director of admissions at the Catholic University of America School of Social Service in Washington, D.C.
