Mental health professionals are invited to join us for Mentalization-based Supervision: Supervising in MBT, which will be presented by Peter Fonagy, PhD, one of the founders of mentalization-based therapy (MBT).
The August 1 lecture is part of our ongoing Distinguished Clinicians' Series and will take place at Menninger from 12 to 2 pm.
This presentation will describe the key features of a mentalizing approach to supervision and illustrate a supervisory session via role play.
It will help participants appreciate the difference between regular psychotherapy supervision and supervision of MBT and learn effective supervisory techniques that will enhance therapists’ mentalizing in a supervision. The lecture will also help participants identify supervision techniques that inhibit mentalizing in a trainee.
2.0 contact/credit/clock hours have been designated by The Menninger Clinic for the following disciplines:
The registration fee is $50 for professionals and $25 for students.
Space is limited; so register today.
