Rethinking Psychotherapy from an Ethical Perspective will be presented by Jon G. Allen, PhD, May 18 from 9 am to 12 pm at Menninger. Dr. Allen is a former director of Psychology at The Menninger Clinic.
In this workshop, Dr. Allen will review the fundamental and pervasive role that ethics play in guiding the way we relate to patients in psychotherapy and in shaping views of optimal functioning. He will also highlight the ethically grounded personal influence of the therapist, which plays a more significant role in treatment outcomes than technical knowledge and interventions.
3.0 contact/credit/clock hours have been designated by The Menninger Clinic for the following disciplines: physicians, psychologists, social workers, licensed professional counselors and addictions professionals.
The registration fee for professionals is $50; the student rate is $25. Parking is free.
