Psychiatrists nationwide have selected The Menninger Clinic as the #5 best hospital in psychiatry as reported today by U.S. News & World Report. This marks the 29th consecutive year that The Menninger Clinic has ranked as a Best Hospital by U.S. News & World Report.
Acknowledging the expertise of Menninger’s physicians and psychologists from its academic partner Baylor College of Medicine, the ranking signifies that Menninger continues to be a top referral choice for psychiatrists in Texas and from across the country. During the past three years included in the survey results, patients have admitted to Menninger from all 50 states and 18 countries.
“Our teams of experts provide our patients with a respectful, caring assessment and treatment experience that is effective in reducing symptoms and increasing the skills they need to maintain those gains after leaving Menninger,” said Tony Gaglio, chief financial officer and interim CEO.
In psychiatry, the U.S. News & World Report’s rankings distinguish the best hospitals for patients experiencing difficult-to-treat disorders and are based on survey responses from 2016 to 2018 from physicians nationwide who are board certified in psychiatry.
“Our approach to treatment encompasses evidence-based therapies and effective treatments, as well as educational programming and a healing community that helps improve strained relationships,” Gaglio added.
Menninger’s services include intensive specialty hospital programs with a longer-than-average length of stay, community integration and home-based team treatment as well as outpatient therapies, medication management, groups and comprehensive diagnostic assessments.
With its long track record of national Best Hospital rankings, The Menninger Clinic stands among the Texas Medical Center institutions that have consistently been ranked by U.S. News & World Report.
