Menninger Nurses Have Prominent Presence at APNA Conference

Congratulations to the following nurses for their contributions to the field of psychiatric nursing during the American Psychiatric Nurses Association annual meeting October 18-21 in Phoenix:

  • Jane Mahoney, PhD, RN, PMHCNS-BC, will present a poster on behalf of team members Cynthia Mulder, LCSW, Susan Hardesty, MD, and Alok Madan, PhD, MPH, entitled, “Patient-centered Competencies.” 

  • Anthony Rushing, BSN, RN, will present a podium presentation, “Alcohol Use Disorder, Psychosis, Obesity, and Diabetes: A Case Study of Complexity,” on behalf of team members Philippa Ashford, MSN, RN-BC, and Jane Mahoney, PhD, RN, PHMCNS-BC. 

  • Anthony Rushing, BSN, RN, will present the poster "Fall Prevention: An Evidence-based Practice Project” on behalf of team member Jane Mahoney, PhD, RN, PMHCNS-BC. 

  • Jane Mahoney, PhD, RN, PMHCNS-BC, will facilitate the Research Council Interactive Panel, “Research Group-Mentoring Program.”
  • Jane Mahoney, PhD, RN, PMHCNS-BC, will present the podium presentation “Alcohol Use Disorder, Depression, Suicidality and Head Injury in a Professional in Crisis: A Case Study of Clinical Reasoning”on behalf of team member Jennifer Jackson, MSN, RN-BC, NE-BC.
  • Audrey Pyle, BSN, BS, RN-BC, and Cheryl Buteaux, MSN, RN-BC, will present the poster "Developing Psychoeducational Wellness Groups for Lifelong Whole Health."
  • Rachael Mantsch, BSN, RN, will present the poster “Prevention and Management of Metabolic Syndrome Risk: An Evidence-based Practice Project” on behalf of team members Maya Osmand, BSN, RN, and Jane Mahoney, PhD, RN, PMHCNS-BC.
