Mental health professionals who treat clients with attachment trauma, or who want to learn more about how to treat it, are invited to attend "How to Help Survivors of Attachment Trauma," Menninger's next free webinar.
This webinar will discuss specific ways to use trauma and attachment theory in working with survivors of complex trauma, including attachment trauma. The presenters will offer brief outlines of the theories of attachment and trauma as well as some brief neurobiological principles. They will discuss how particular, specialized trauma treatments based on those theories and principles are used to treat trauma.
This is a good review and/or introduction to theories impacting the treatment of trauma and why particular treatments are helpful. These specialized treatments include eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), prolonged exposure (PE), somatic experiencing (SE) and Trauma Center’s trauma-sensitive yoga (TC-TSY).
Lynn Griffin, LCSW, and Dallas Adams, LCSW, RYT, will be the presenters. Both are experienced social workers who work on our Professionals Program.
