Physicians, residents, fellows and healthcare professionals from a variety of disciplines need to be updated in a wide variety of topic areas, which address all aspects of psychiatric practice including psychopharmacology, psychodynamic psychotherapy, ethics in psychiatric practice and the treatment of select patient population. Given the continuous expansion of the understanding of the biological mechanisms for some psychiatric illnesses, all mental health professionals’ educational needs are well served by ongoing exposure to the latest clinical research.
Grand Rounds aims to address the continuing interest of mental health practitioners in contemporary thinking and research regarding a wide variety of clinical issues confronted in clinical practice.
Educational methods will include lectures, case presentations, audio/video presentations, panel discussions and question and answer sessions. Participants will be asked to complete an activity evaluation.

Baylor College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Baylor College of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1.25 category 1 credits toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the activity.
