Dr. McClam specializes in medical treatment for major depression and other conditions that affect working professionals. He is an advocate for mental health and issues that affect African Americans. He currently serves as medical director of Menninger’s Admissions Office, associate chief of inpatient services and a staff psychiatrist for the Program for Professionals, where he served as medical director.
A former Navy psychiatrist at Guantanamo Bay, Dr. McClam continues his military service as a Captain in the U.S. Navy Reserves. In 2015, he was named a Fellow in the American Psychiatric Association. He is a graduate of Morehouse College and received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, where he also serves as an assistant professor in the Menninger Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences.
