Training Programs

Trainees from The Menninger Clinic’s medical school affiliate Baylor College of Medicine and other local and national programs come to The Clinic each year to complete their clinical training.
As one of the primary teaching hospitals for Baylor, Menninger provides clinical supervision and select classroom training to trainees in the following programs:
In addition, Menninger offers the Betty Ann Stedman Nurse Residency Program.
Each trainee is assigned to a treatment team as an active participant, working with patients in a wide range of inpatient and outpatient programs.

Among the hallmarks of Menninger treatment and education are:

  • Exposure to the medical, psychological, behavioral and social models
  • Participation on treatment teams with experienced mental health specialists
  • Experience treating patients with complex psychiatric illness, including co-occurring disorders, from admission through six or more weeks of treatment and recovery
