The Menninger Clinic’s Annual Luncheon brings together the Greater Houston community to increase awareness of mental health issues and raise crucial funding for The Clinic’s research and training programs.
Chaired by Kate and Jim Lykes, Menninger’s 10th Annual Luncheon was held May 2, 2019, at Hilton Houston Post Oak by the Galleria. In total, more than 500 luncheon sponsors, donors and guests contributed nearly $400,000 in support of Menninger’s mission to advance mental health care.
The luncheon’s keynote speaker, NFL wide receiver Brandon T. Marshall, was honored for his work to end stigma and encourage earlier mental health intervention for youth through his non-profit advocacy organization Project 375. Brandon co-founded the organization with his wife, Michi Marshall, after he was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder in 2011.
Lead sponsors of the event included The Louis L. Borick Foundation; Sarah and Doug Foshee; Vivie and Chris O’Sullivan with Letty Knapp and Chris Knapp; the Cuenod Families with Indumar; and the McIngvale Family.
