Some adult patients at Menninger battle treatment-resistant depression and other psychiatric issues that might benefit from therapies that stimulate the brain. We offer such therapies as electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and ketamine therapy to patients ages 18 and older.
To access this service, outpatient providers - whether a medical or mental health professional - or individuals struggling with mental illness may request an ECT consultation via email or by calling 713-275-5328.
The first thing I, and others, noticed was the laughter. Even before I had finished all the treatments, I was laughing again. Sometimes a lot. I don't remember the last time I laughed before ECT. - former patient
