Emily offers a collaborative, strengths-based, person-centered therapeutic approach. She helps empower and equip individuals and families with the confidence and skills that they need to achieve positive mental health and greater self-sufficiency. Emily is particularly passionate about and experienced in providing mental health care to young adults who are struggling with the transition to adulthood.
 
She has experience in counseling, case management, psychoeducation, advocacy, community outreach and psychosocial support to individuals, families and groups of diverse ages, backgrounds and presenting problems in school, hospital and community settings.
 
Emily received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rice University and her master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Houston.
 
A native Houstonian, Emily loves acquainting newcomers with the area, helping them discover why Houston is such an amazing place to live. She also enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, going to concerts, eating at new restaurants, reading, biking and being outside.
